The application process for degree programs at the KLU

You can download the application forms in PDF format from our website. Once you have filled out the application form, please print and sign it and then send it to the Admissions Office of the Kuehne Logistics University KLU together with all the necessary documents. You will find a checklist included in the application form with which you can ensure that your application includes everything necessary.

It would be ideal if you could send us all documents with your application. If, however, you have already sent your application and still have documents to send, such as your Bachelor’s degree certificate or the results of a test, please send the document to us together with your name and application number.

Applications can be submitted anytime as we operate a rolling admissions process. However, we encourage students to apply as early as possible. Applicants from non-EU countries also need to allow enough time for the visa process and to collect all documents and information required during the admission process. Applications for the KLU degree programs will be examined by the admissions board. Applications that do not match formal criteria (complete set of certificates, transcripts, recommendation letters, essays, etc.) will not be considered.

Interviews may be conducted on a case-to-case basis. In order to minimize expenses and inconveniences caused to applicants and in order to get to know the candidate, we arrange conference calls, video conferences or interviews together with our partners at the local offices of international logistics companies or the DAAD. You do not need to apply for an interview. If necessary, we will inform you and make the necessary arrangements.

Applications will normally be processed within 3 - 4 weeks of receipt of completed application documents. Candidates will be informed by e-mail. In the case of successful admission, candidates will receive the admission kit with the necessary documents for enrolment.

When offered admission, students must confirm acceptance of their place of study by a given deadline. Upon acceptance, the KLU will help you organize your journey to Hamburg and continue to assist you throughout this process.
