Program

The development of THE KLU and of its portfolio of programs and continuing education will be rolled out in the following phases.

Master of Science Programs

September 2010 saw the start of the new Master of Science Program in Global Logistics. This two-year international Master’s program, which is conducted in English, is aimed at students who already have a first degree and who want an insight into logistics. Our second MSc Program in Management started in September 2011 using a unique learing methodology. Our problem-based learning approach develops and fosters solution-oriented competencies.

Your degree from THE KLU will certainly be career boosting! 

Our first cohort of M.Sc.Global Logistics students are off to their internships to global corporate all over the world. Our career service center does play a big role in preparation to find your desired job!

PhD Program

The structured PhD program was introduced in 2011. Those taking part in the course with academic ambitions will carry out their work within the framework of a coordinated program of research that complements the students’ specializations and provide a structure for their cooperation. The PhD program will be part of a post-graduate network that will serve to further educate future experts in logistics and other topics. 

THE KLU will admit students to its Ph.D. program only if there is a cooperating partner (e.g., from our program faculty) accepting a joint supervision including the examination at his or her university.

Bachelor Programs

The future program portfolio will also contain undergraduate studies in logistics and management. From 2013 on this offering targets high-school graduates from around the world and will complement the degree program offering of the Kühne Logistics University.

MBA Program

The target group of ourfull-time MBA programis participants with career experience in managerial positions. With this MBA, THE KLU will continue the excellent reputation it established as an excellent specialty business school since 2004 as HSL, the Hamburg School of Logistics. Alumni from our previous MBA programs were hired for example by Hapag-Lloyd AG, Airbus S.A.S., DB Schenker, Kühne + Nagel (AG & Co.) KG, Hamburg Süd or Tchibo GmbH.

Executive Education

Logistics and other business executives will find THE KLU’s executive education portfolio exciting. It includes a series of “Logistics Trends and Innovations” seminars and a series of seminars under the name of “International Supply Chain Excellence.” Intensive multi-day events such as the twelve-day Summer Schools and Leadership Forums cover cutting-edge topics and trends in logistics and leadership. An Executive MBA program  will be reintroduced in 2012 as part of the in-service executive education and will lead to an accredited degree.
