Overview

Our Global Logistics Master aims at international students with a first degree (Bachelor or equivalent), particularly in business, economics or engineering.

Program Contents

• 45% Logistics, 35% Business Economics & General Management, 20% Leadership-Skills
• Two specializations in logistics, and electives in leadership courses
• An exchange trimester with partner schools
• An integral 2 month period of practical training
• 3 months Master’s thesis

Mission

Course structure

Our two-year master’s program starts each September and is divided into six trimesters. The degree equates to 120 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer
System). 

Within the logistics courses two specializations can be taken: “Logistics Processes” on the one hand, and “Logistics Systems” on the other. The specializations consist of a total of six courses each. Students have the possibility to choose electives according to their interests,  and target qualification profiles.

The logistics content represents about half of the curriculum, and is supplemented by logistics related topics in general management and leadership. Throughout the studies you will develop your intercultural capabilities and fine-tune your management skills. Courses on research methodology will help you prepare for the academic research in your master’s thesis. 

Internship & Trimester abroad 

After the third trimester, you will complete an internship, which you may choose to do abroad. This gives you the opportunity to put into practice the concepts and methods you have learned and to identify relevant business problems for your master’s thesis. 

The students of THE KLU spend their internships amongst others at our program partners such as Bayer Technology Services GmbH (Germany), Kühne + Nagel L.L.C. (Dubai) and TransCare AG (Germany).
    
During the fourth trimester, which is spent abroad at one of our partner schools in Europe, Asia and the Americas, you will then be able to acquire intercultural knowledge and experience the unique life of an exchange student.

Master's Thesis 

During the final part of your studies you complete a master’s thesis where you can research your primary area of interest in depth. After successfully defending your master’s thesis, THE KLU will award a state-recognized and accredited Master of Science degree.
