Start of the Management Master (M.Sc. Management). The Kühne Logistics University welcomes first student cohort on campus. The class consists of 15 students.

The Hamburg University of Technology transfers its shares in the Kühne School of Logistics and Management GmbH to the Kühne-Stiftung (Foundation). The path is now free for an independent and private THE KLU.
Decision to establish the KÜHNE LOGISTICS UNIVERSITY – Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung.
The Kuehne School is selected as a landmark in the competition “Germany Land of Ideas”. Federal President Horst Köhler is patron of the initiative.
At a Senate reception in the Hamburg City Hall honoring his 70th birthday, Klaus-Michael Kuehne announces his intention to donate 30 million euros to develop and expand the HSL Hamburg School of Logistics at the TUHH.
The HSL begins its first Summer School. This executive education program is geared towards specialists and managers from the industry, trade and service sectors.
The HSL expands its course program and starts the two-year in-service MBA program with an emphasis on logistics management.
The HSL Hamburg School of Logistics begins its teaching activities. The first 17 students of the MBA Program in Logistics are welcomed to the TUHH campus.
The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), together with the Kuehne-Foundation, establish the HSL Hamburg School of Logistics.
