Assistant Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior
In September 2011, Dr. Christian Tröster commenced his appointment at the Kühne Logistics University in the field of Leadership and Organizational Behavior. Before he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University. Dr. Tröster studied Sociology at the University of Groningen (NL) and holds a Ph.D. in Management (2011) from the Rotterdam School of Management (NL). In 2009 he was a visiting scholar at the LINKS Centre at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, University of Kentucky.
His research focuses on organizational networks and leadership. Specifically, he investigates how peoples’ interactions influence individual-, team-, and organizational performance and what leaders can do to optimize their subordinates’ networks. He is also interested in the consequences of employing a (culturally) diverse workforce.
Dr. Tröster has consulted various companies including IBM, ECORYS, and VOPAK. His goal is to transform cutting-edge scientific insights into practical solutions to managerial challenges.
