“Hamburg is a city with a strong international orientation”, explained Thomas Strothotte, president of KLU. “The port serves as a turnstile for goods from around the world and people from more than 180 countries live in our city.” With both KLU and ISH themselves being truly international institutions, the idea was born to invite representatives of Hamburg’s international community to get to know each other, share ideas and discuss opinions on one of the pressing topics of our time: Digital transformation.
The guests listened attentively to Mr. Cole’s explanations on the topic. “It was very enthralling to hear Mr. Cole speak about digital transformation from his point of view”, said Strothotte. KLU has recently established new Key Competence Areas, Digital Transformation for the benefit of transportation, global logistics, and supply chain management being one of them.
Among the guests of the First International Exchange Summit were many consuls general and honorary consuls as well as a number of ambassadors from all over the world as well as representatives of various international clubs in Hamburg.
