Logistics Initiative: KLU President Joins Advisory Board

Prof. Dr. Thomas Strothotte with two colleagues

KLU President Professor Dr. Thomas Strothotte is now a member of the Advisory Board at the Logistics Initiative Hamburg (LIHH). At the same time, Michael Westhagemann, Senator for Economics and Transport, appointed Professor Dr. Carlos Jahn, Director of the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (CML) to the board, which now consists of 21 members.

Two leading scientific experts from Hamburg have now joined other members of the Board of Trustees, who represent economics and politics. Professor Strothotte reported, “The Hamburg Logistics Initiative does an incredible job in establishing a network among logistics companies in the metropolitan area. As a member of the Board of Trustees, I will help ensure that companies benefit even more from scientific developments.”

LIHH supports the positioning of the Hamburg Metropolitan Area as an innovative logistics region in Europe. “The expertise that the high-ranking members of our board represent continues to expand and become more and more excellent,” offered Board of Trustees Chair, Professor Dr. Peer Witten. It is truly a pleasure to see how competence and engagement can prosper together.
