Managing Director Fabian Berger will leave Kühne Logistics University

The managing director and head of administration of Kühne Logistics University (KLU), Fabian Berger, will move to a state university as chancellor in the fall. The move comes at his request, after 13 years at KLU.

Fabian Berger has been with KLU since its founding in 2010. During his tenure, KLU developed from its first cohort of around 30 students to today's university, which includes more than 400 students, an international faculty with around 30 professors, and an international reputation. "I would already like to thank all members of KLU for their great support and excellent cooperation," says Berger. "Through the joint work of the past years, the university is very well positioned for the future. It is not easy to say goodbye, yet I am looking forward to the new challenge."

"We are very reluctant to let Fabian Berger go," says Prof. Dr. Christian Barrot, acting president of KLU. "Without his dedication, the university in its current form would not have been possible. The university management regrets his departure; while at the same time, we can understand his personal reasons for his decision. We wish him success in his new position."

In coordination with the university's sponsor, the Kühne Foundation, the search for a successor is underway.
