Christos Bitos is a PhD candidate in the field of Logistics at Kühne Logistics University. He received his Diploma in Production & Management Engineering (equivalent to Master's degree) from Democritus University of Thrace in November 2011. He also holds a M.Sc. degree in Energy Systems from the International Hellenic University.
During the time of his studies Christos also gathered some valuable professional experience at internship positions with the Greek Public Power Corporation.
His research interests at KLU focuses on the area of Humanitarian Logistics. More precisely he is interested in using optimization models in order to understand how Cash & Voucher programs affect Humanitarian OperationsCurrently, he is also involved in the Research Institute on Leadership and Operations in Humanitarian Aid (RILOHA), which seeks to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian aid via psychological insights.
