Accounting and Budgeting Across Borders

Controlling and managing international organizations requires that proper management control systems are in place and that budgets are planned and developed so that performance can be measured.  Students in this class will develop an ability to apply accounting concepts, principles and practices, understand the role of accounting as an information system for monitoring, problem-solving and decision making and the place of accounting in changing economic, social and technological environments, develop a critical and analytical approach to examining and evaluating accounting policies and practices, and develop skills of communication, analysis, interpretation and presentation of both qualitative and quantitative accounting information.
