Advanced Supply Chain Management
Degree program: MSc Logistics & SCM
Supply Chain Management involves the flows of materials and information among various stages within a firm as well as among different firms that contribute value to a product, from the source of raw materials to end customers.
This module is designed to explore supply chain management and logistics as a cross-functional business process, in which business processes cut across functional boundaries, but leverage their synergies. This module takes a detailed look at organizations linked within a given supply network and evaluates the role of logistics as an integrator of information flows and material flows. Throughout the module, the students will work within an interactive supply chain game: a web-based, value-chain-management-learning environment built around a cross-functional business simulation. The game allows students to try their hands at managing the complexities of supply chains by allowing them to be managers of a virtual company.
