Critical Thinking - Thinking Clearly about the World

Degree program: MBA

Lack of time, biases, assumptions, respect for authorities, culture, etc. all impinge on our thinking and lead to our uncritical acceptance of assertions by others. This course will provide the students with the foundation to identify when arguments are not supported by facts, how to see through false arguments, how to construct valid arguments based on true premises and how to present these arguments effectively to develop fact based decisions for their organizations. The course will also help students identify common biases in their thinking that get in the way of making optimal decisions.
