Abstract
DB International stands for 175 years German railway know-how. It offers the worldwide acknowledged know-how of Deutsche Bahn from conception through to operation. We advise our clients around the globe and develop sustainable, economic and ecologic solutions – Mobility, Networks, Logistics - innovative and across all transport modes. We use worldwide tried and trusted know-how of Deutsche Bahn for design, review and implementation.
We will discuss several international projects, outline the challenges and present the solutions offered to our clients
About the presenter
Marc Giesen is Director of Consulting at DB International GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany. After receiving his degree Diplom-Kaufmann from Justus-Liebig University, Gießen, he joined DB Netz AG in 1998 and was responsible for investment controlling and financing of the infrastructure plan projects from the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan. Since then he has worked in several subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn AG such as DB Cargo, DB Fernverkehr and DB Vertrieb with each new project gaining a deeper understanding of the national and international logistics sector.
