Abstract

Analytics, algorithms, and apps increasingly promise to dramatically innovate and advance Human Resource Management (HRM). As the substantive and empirical backing and effect often remain obscure, there is untapped potential for researchers to embrace this new era.

This talk illustrates and interprets where the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence development currently stands vis-à-vis the digitization of HRM, and what future developments and challenges we can expect in relation to the inner workings and at work.

Examples concerning recruitment, development, retention, and performance highlight how wide ranging technological innovation are ever more confronting the management and research of people, work, and organisations.
