Ute Menski joined Kühne Logistics University in May 2021 as Research Associate of the Food Research Group. Her work focuses on developing and carrying out third-party funded research projects with emphasis on food-related questions, especially in the areas of Food Supply Chain Management, Food Security, Food Sustainability, and Food Safety. Before joining KLU, Ute worked as a research associate at the Institute of Informatik, AG Interdisziplinäre Sicherheitsforschung, Freie Universität Berlin, where she developed and coordinated a research project on the topic of emergency food provision. Earlier she studied Nutritional Sciences and Home Economics at University of Applied Sciences Münster and Food and Resource Economics at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
