In addition to his work, Arènso Bakker is a PhD candidate at the Kühne Logistics University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michele Acciaro and Prof. Dr. Gordon Wilmsmeier. Arènso started in 2021 and his topic is land-use in ports and economic zones. His research focuses on the development of value during the lifecycle of property.
Arènso is halfway in his career and has a background in both logistic engineering and economics. After working for DHL and Port of Rotterdam he now works globally on developments and landlord operations in ports, logistics-areas and economic zones. Further he is a registered valuer specialized in port property and land lease.
Arènso has a B.Sc. in Maritime Logistics at the Maritime Academy in Amsterdam and a M.Sc. in Real Estate at the Amsterdam University ‘Amsterdam School of Real Estate’. At Leiden University he graduated in 2020 as a judicial expert in order to act in disputes related to land. His knowledge of logistic operations in combination with land-lease and concessions, is a solid ground for complex property issues and valuations.
