Manijeh Komeili is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of humanitarian logistics at the Kühne Logistics University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria Besiou and Prof. Dr. Andreas Kilian Gernert since April 2022. Prior to joining KLU, Manijeh received her master's degree in Industrial Engineering (Economic and Social Systems) at Tarbiat Modares University and her bachelor's degree in the same field at the Isfahan University of Technology. In her master thesis, she applied the Game Theory methodology to achieve a practical solution for the decision-makers of a market leader company in Iran. Moreover, she tried to look holistically - based on the systems thinking approach - at conflict resolution and negotiation among the stakeholders.

Besides her studies, Manijeh gained practical experience as an industrial engineer in the Iranian railway company and a software development company (Tosan Co.) for more than five years. Her research at KLU is in the field of environmental sustainability in global humanitarian logistics, and she is also a member of the CHORD team.
