Anggoro Bintang Nur Paksi joined the Kühne Logistics University in September 2018 as a Ph.D. candidate. His research will focus on the distribution of pharmaceuticals to rural nanostores. This research will combine the knowledge of supply chain management, operations research, and public health in order to successfully improve the accessibility of essential medicines in developing countries. The Ph.D. project is supervised by Prof. Jan Fransoo, Ph.D.
Anggoro holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing Systems from the Bandung Institute of Technology. Beside his studies, he gained multiple practical experiences during internships in several industries, including manufacturing and consulting sectors. Following his studies, he worked as an associate consultant for a national management consulting firm and served as a research assistant at the Manufacturing Systems Research Group, Bandung Institute of Technology.
He received his M.Sc. degree in Operations Management and Logistics from the Eindhoven University of Technology where he graduated with distinction in August 2018. Due to his interest, he selected a specific track of consumer goods and narrowed down to focus on medical drugs for his graduation project. His master thesis on “Production and Inventory of Personalized Drugs” was his first exposure to the field of pharmaceutical supply chains.
