Naouar El Khadiri joined the Kühne Logistics University in November 2018 as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Michele Acciaro, PhD. The research studies the economics of digitisation in the maritime supply chain. The focus is to evidence the impact of disruptive innovations, such as blockchain and smart contracts, on the firm size and the market dichotomy.
Before joining the KLU, the Naouar gained professional experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry (Renault-Nissan) and the FMCG sector (Kraft-Heinz).
Naouar is an industrial engineer from Ecole Nationale des Sciences Appliquees (Agadir) and holds a master degree in Maritime Economics and Logistics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam where she graduated 2nd with distinction.
During her master studies, the Naouar won the Maersk Best Thesis Award for her thesis “Modelling Merger and Acquisition activities in container shipping market using Markov Decision Processes”. The candidate also was awarded the Scholarship Trust Fund (STF).
