The Career Development & Alumni Relations Office team is your first point of contact for for establishing grounds to connect with KLU talent. The team will assist you with your questions and provide all the information you require.
Many of our corporate partners host KLU students as interns in their companies. All of our students participate in an internship for a minimum of 12 weeks each summer (May - September). We would be happy to support your recruiting process by posting internship ads on our job portal or assisting in the pre-selection process. To specifically target our students, you can also choose to offer exclusive internships for KLU students only.

In cooperation with access, the recruiting specialists, KLU hosts an annual career event for students from all over Germany in January. Participating companies can present themselves in the networking lounge as a way of meeting potential employees. They also have the opportunity to conduct personal interviews with selected participants or screen candidates during interactive workshops. A thesis partnership with a KLU student can give your company the unique opportunity to integrate the latest research and current academic insights into your daily business. The thesis time frame is 3 to 5 months from August - January or March - July each year. A professor will act as the student‘s academic supervisor and provide the necessary support during the entire thesis period. You can agree on the topic and offer suggestions directly to the student. We would be happy to post your thesis topic description on our job portal and establish contact with the relevant faculty member.
With KLU‘s Capstone Project you can benefit from fresh and innovative ideas developed by our students to tackle your next business problem or research project. Supervised and supported by our professors, third-semester master‘s students will develop solutions and ideas for a current business issue or specific project of your company.
Initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship promotes joint engagement, creating mutually beneficial networks between universities, the industry and students. By funding a scholarship of only € 150 per month, you will support committed, highly motivated KLU students and fuel their interest in your company as a future employer. And when you take on responsibility for education and qualification in Hamburg, you also contribute to strengthening your own role within the regional network.
