Graduate BSc Business Administration 2021

After I finished my A-levels in 2017 in Hamburg, I took a gap year to travel, work and to decide what I wanted to study, as I was interested in many possible occupations. At school I attended the bilingual “Economic, political and social affairs in Europe and Britain” profile, which allowed me to take most of my classes in English. What in the end convinced me to choose KLU was the opportunity to gain fundamental business knowledge in an international environment and to benefit from many exceptional offers outside the classroom.

Why I wanted to study at the KLU:

The KLU offers exceptional opportunities when it comes to facilities, internationality, the learning environment and networking. The small group sizes and the close contact to the faculty were especially convincing for me, as students really benefit from the intimate learning environment.

This is what Emma is up to:

  • Field hockey
  • Going for a run
  • Yoga
  • Reading
  • Quality time with family and friends
  • Travelling
  • Spending as much time as possible at the seaside

These are the subjects which Emma can also help you on:

  • Application process (scholarship application)
  • Language proofreading: Cambridge Certificate
  • Anything concerning the BSc program and student life at KLU

Emma’s tips for Hamburg:

  • Spending warm summer days and nights at the Elbstrand
  • Hamburg has many amazing breakfast places to discover

What is one piece of advice Emma would give to a prospective student interested in KLU?

Choosing what to study can often be overwhelming and stressful, so start early, take your time and use the opportunities to inform yourself about study programmes. KLU offers many opportunities to get to know the university (Buddy Days, Open Days, etc.) so I would recommend taking advantage of these offers. And if any questions remain open, there are many contact persons one can always ask!

What Emma likes the most about KLU:

Internationality, access to important contacts, student-to-faculty ratio and of course the sunset view.

Emma can answer your questions in the following languages:

German, English, French
