Graduate MSc Global Logistics and SCM 2018
Since I was 15 I was highly interested in Logistics and I always wanted to study and work in that area. Now, 10 years later my interest in Logistics hasn´t changed. After my Bachelor in business studies and logistics I was desperately looking for the perfect Master program to deepen and broaden my knowledge in that field. With the Logistics Master program of the KLU I found the best fitting Program for my requirements and goals. I have been in Hamburg for over five years now and I can tell, that it’s a wonderful place to study, live, meet new friends, party and so on.
Why I wanted to study in Germany:
I have lived here now for over five years and I am deeply in love with this city. I couldn´t imagine to leave this beautiful place, so I decided to stay in Hamburg for my study.
Why I wanted to study at KLU:
KLU offers a very good study program for Supply Chain Management. Besides that I was intrigued by the concept of teaching in English and small classes and the international environment in general. Also the KLU offers a career service helping by your job applications and other career topics.
This is what Meike is up to:
I love to do Yoga and try to practice three times a week. I also enjoy evenings spent with my friend in restaurant and bars. Hamburg offers a variety of good and divers restaurants/bars and there is always a new location to be discovered.

Meike ’s tips for Hamburg:
- Trips to the Elbstrand/Habour/Landungsbrücken
- Nord Coast Coffee Roastery: they serve excellent coffee and waffles
- The bars and restaurant at the street “Schulterblatt”. It’s the perfect place to meet and hang out with friends
- Central Park and Park Fiction to spent summer evenings
- Walk around the Alster or meet friend to barbecue there
- “Die drei Freunde Bar” serves the best cocktails
What is one piece of advice Meike would give to a prospective student interested in KLU?
Come by for a personal visit and meet the students. This will give you a first impression of the KLU and will help you making your decision. Also be aware that you have to be constantly studying and preparing for upcoming presentations and exams. But don´t be scared, there is plenty of time left to enjoy your life in Hamburg.
What Meike hopes to do after graduation:
My goal is work in the field of Supply Chain Management and strategic planning. Change Management and Projekt Management is very appealing as well.
