Graduate MSc in Global SCM (TriCon) 2020

Nationality

Germany

Moin, I am Ruben. Originally I come from Düsseldorf but Hamburg has become more than just my second home. After finishing my IB, I studied in both Germany and China which further shifted my focus on Supply Chain Management.

This is what I am up to (hobbies, personal things):

Running around the Alster and taking advantage of the numerous art exhibitions and concert halls Hamburg has to offer.

These are the subjects which I can also help you on:

I can help with questions for both the Master and Bachelor as well as the exchange program. But feel free to ask anything.

Why I wanted to study at KLU:

After completing my International Baccalaureate in a very diverse and multicultural environment, KLU was the ideal choice for my Bachelor as well as my Master program. I was looking for a University which provided an English speaking environment and offered the ability to study in small classes. Over the course of my studies, I got to appreciate the family like study atmosphere which enabled me to extend my network and from long-lasting friendships all over the globe. Besides the superb view on the Elbphilhamonie which can sometimes be distracting while studying, KLU also gave me the chance due to its vast network of partner universities to study in another continent. Encouraging me to continue my path at KLU in the Tricontinental Global Supply Chain Management Master. Giving me the tools to follow a global career.

These are my tips for Hamburg:

Even though it occasionally rains in Hamburg it is an awesome city. Things I got to love about Hamburg during my studies was going to the Fishmarket in the early hours after a night out and enjoy the start of the day with music and typical Nordic food. I can also recommend to get to KLU by boat which is after a few years still one of the nicest things do to.

What is one piece of advice I would give to a prospective student interested in KLU?

Come to KLU and take part in a lecture or stop by at an Open Day to get a feeling for the University.

What I hope to do after graduation:

I hope to continue my global path by working in the field of supply chain in China at one of the big international players.

What I like the most about KLU:

  • Amazing view and easy access to public transportation
  • Family like atmosphere
  • Multicultural study environment with small classes
  • Integrated gym
