Migration and displacement are both a humanitarian issue and a major logistical challenge. For refugees who are often forced to leave their homes under extreme conditions. For the aid organizations setting up supply structures in crisis regions. And, not least, for cities such as Hamburg dealing with an influx of refugees.
The Logistics of Refugee Migration will be discussed during a panel discussion on April 24, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Anselm Sprandel, Head of the Refugees Coordination Unit (ZKF) of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
Rebecca Lewin, Director of Logistics and Procurement, Plan International
Jörn Marder, Team Leader Logistics, Doctors Without Borders
Prof. Dr. Maria Besiou, Professor of Humanitarian Logistics, KLU
The panel discussion has been organized and made possible by UniKonnect, a student initiative at KLU. The event will be held in English. After the discussion, there will be time for a Q&A segment with the participants.
Participation is free of charge but please register in advance.
