“This is not something I say every day,” stated Fink in her speech, “but KLU has really exceeded the expectations of the team of experts at FIBAA. Therefore, I am very happy to announce that KLU has obtained the Premium Seal.” This is a distinction that only seven per cent of universities in the accreditation process achieve. Fink and the assessors were especially impressed with the strong emphasis put on maintaining an international focus and the combination of theory and practice in the program. She also mentioned the general advantages of the program: “Students at KLU find an excellent academic environment and have great services available to them. They can be looking forward to very good career opportunities and benefit from the wide range of companies in KLU’s professional network.”
KLU president Thomas Strothotte used the opportunity to thank KLU as a team: “This is a recognition of everybody at KLU and their great work. A distinction like this is only possible when everybody is working together and doing their best. Thank you all for this.” This is the third time one of KLU’s degree programs has been awarded with the FIBAA Premium Seal.
The BSc in Business Administration program at KLU is a six-semester degree program laying the groundwork for an international career in management. A successor of KLU’s former BSc program, it has been successfully re-accredited by FIBAA. Students can choose from one of four profiles: International Management, Sustainable Management, Supply Chain Management, and Management Information Systems. A three-month internship and a semester abroad are firmly integrated into the curriculum. In addition to the standard track with 180 ECTS, an intensive track with 210 ECTS is also available.
FIBAA is the European agency for quality assurance and quality development in higher education.
The highest recognition of a degree program issued by FIBAA is their Premium Seal, awarded to programs demonstrating a strong strategy-based and international profile.
