Teaching takes place on campus. KLU understands the bureaucratical steps to get a student visa may take longer processing times in certain countries. All admitted students who have completed the admission processes (study contract signed + deposit paid) and who, due to delays in their visa processes, may not be able to start their studies on-site in Hamburg at the beginning of the fall semester 2023, will be given the opportunity to participate in events/courses online during the first semester of classes. This will allow some extra time to receive their visa and move to Hamburg.
Important information for applicants who need to submit an APS Certificate: It is mandatory to submit the APS Certificate before starting your studies at KLU. This also applies to participation in online courses.

Application Deadlines
- Start of application period: November 1
- Early Bird deadline: January 15 (more information - 10% tuition discount)
- Recommended International application date: March 31 (more information)
- International application deadline (final): May 30 (more information)
- European Application deadline: July 15
We recommend that students submit their application as early as possible. All fully completed applications received by January 15, are granted a 10% early-bird discount on the overall tuition fees. To be entitled for the discount applicants need to fully complete the online application form and submit it together with their transcript of records, interim transcripts or predicted grades. Scholarship Deadlines
At KLU we offer scholarships to all students (both international and domestic), which range from 50%-100%. Scholarships are merit-based and applicants choose one of four categories: International Advocate, Social Engagement, Future Leader or Academic Achievement. Applicants are asked to answer a question with either a short essay, or video.
All merit-based scholarships have a needs-based component to them, any needs base information provided will further be taken into consideration.

KLU recognizes that it can be difficult for students from refugee communities to access and succeed in higher education. In order to support these learners, KLU offers full tuition waivers for talented refugee students from Hamburg, who have been admitted to our programs.

BSc: High school diploma/school leaving certificate (qualifying for entrance to German universities)
MSc: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or economics from a recognized university or college. Other fields such as industrial engineering, business informatics, and mathematics are considered as well if the bachelor's degree contains at least four courses in business or economics. The degree must comprise at least 180 ECTS.
