Christina Mölders is doing her PhD under supervision of Prof. Dr. Erich H. Witte (University of Hamburg) and Prof. Dr. Niels Van Quaquebeke (Kühne Logistics University). Her project is situated in the interface of leadership, social, and political psychology: She investigates under which conditions disrespectful behavior in political debates provokes a backlash effect and thus does harm to attacking politicians instead of enhancing their status.
A psychologist by training, Christina holds a diploma from the University of Hamburg. She specialized in Coaching and Training as well as Work and Organizational Psychology. In 2010, she completed her Master's thesis on the interaction of considerate and structured leadership. From 2005 to 2010, she collaborated in the economic psychological project "Just Taxes" in the Social Psychology Department.
Since 2007, Christina is a member of the interdisciplinary RespectResearchGroup, a group of young scientists who investigate the essences and functions of interpersonal respect in various domains, such as business, education, or society in general. Since 2013, she heads the group.
