Objectives

Since 1973 the liberal Friedrich-Naumann Foundation provides scholarship for skilled academics. Scholarships mainly aim at a political education and are based on liberate virtues and intangibles values. Liberal minded pupils, students and graduates with outstanding academic qualifications willing to accept socio-political responsibility are welcome to apply. The scholarship program is open to foreign students and postgraduates at German universities if applicants qualify according to the scholarship requirements. All applicants are subject to a preliminary selection process under which the applicants' qualifications are checked and the chance for a successful application is assessed carefully. Allowances for foreign students are basically non-pecuniary.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a first academic degree.
  • An acceptance from a German university to a postgraduate course or a Ph.D. program.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in German, both orally and in written format.
