Ioannis Siskos is a Research Associate in the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Kühne Logistics University. His current research focuses on the competitive status of manufacturing in Europe and investigates how the manufacturing footprint has shifted the last decades within Europe and from Europe to offshore, what are the reasons of this shift and what is the response from the European policy makers. His research interests include industrial symbiosis, decentralized energy systems, eco-innovation strategy, energy policies, sustainable logistics, and insurance policies against natural hazards.
Before joining KLU, Ioannis had worked as Research Associate at INSEAD since 2010 on various projects as a member of the Sustainability Group and of the Humanitarian Research Group.
Ioannis holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master Degree in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology from the same University. He has worked in the private sector for five years, gaining experience from various assignments as an engineer.
