Fabian Heilemann is a digital serial-entrepreneur and early stage investor. He joined Earlybird’s Berlin Office as a Partner in 2016 when Earlybird merged with his firm Heilemann Ventures. He holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and passed the First Legal Bar Exam from the State of Hamburg. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Corporate Law from Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and was a visiting student at Santa Clara University and Stanford University.
Fabian Heilemann has over 16 years of entrepreneurial track record, 8 years of which in the digital industry: he co-founded the couponing platform DailyDeal with his brother Ferry Heilemann in late 2009 and sold the company to Google Inc. in 2011. Later the Heilemann brothers bought back the company, restructured it and sold it a second time in 2015. Fabian co-founded several other digital startups including Heilemann&Co, Localize and most recently the digital freight-forwarder FreightHub.
Fabian Heilemann currently serves on the boards of Cashboard (Berlin), Crossengage (Berlin), Miflora (Munich) and Secucloud (Hamburg).
