Research Productivity: KLU top-ranked in WirtschaftsWoche Ranking 2022

In the latest WirtschaftsWoche ranking, conducted by Forschungsmonitoring, Kühne Logistics University was once again among the strongest research universities for Business Administration in the DACH region comprised of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In terms of research productivity, measured by research output per professor, places second among all private universities in the DACH region and ninth among all German universities and colleges. Several KLU professors also placed in the individual ranking of the most research-intensive business economists in Germany.

Premium Seal for KLU Master's Programs

The Master's programs Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management and International Management have once again received the premium seal of the accreditation agency FIBAA. The assessment evaluates the KLU Master's programs as excellent and exceeding the quality requirements in the employability of graduates, international orientation, and academic and teaching qualifications of professors.

KLU Top in Teaching and Learning and International Orientation

Kühne Logistics University has emerged once more with flying colours in the globally renowned U-Multirank ratings. KLU received the most top rankings of all German universities (group A and B) in the category ‘teaching and learning’ and received 5 “A” scores in ‘international orientation’. In total, KLU collected 13 U-Multirank As for 2022, placing the university in the highest peer group of institutions in Europe.

Excellence in Supply Chain Research: KLU once more among the top 3 German universities

KLU once more placed among the top three German universities for Supply Chain Management Research, according to the latest SCM Journal List Ranking. In the ranking for empirically and analytically focused journals alike, KLU came in 2nd place. In the global ranking, KLU made it in the top 100.

KLU Rated “Best University” Worldwide

Students have rated Kühne Logistics University (KLU) the world’s best university offering English-language programs. As a result, KLU has won this year’s Global Student Satisfaction Award in the category “Overall Satisfaction.” KLU President Thomas Strothotte accepted the prize, which is awarded by the global study choice platform, Studyportals, today in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

KLU once more top in international orientation

Kühne Logistics University (KLU) has once again achieved excellent results in the latest poll from U-Multirank. KLU is one of four institutions among the 25 top-performing universities globally in the indicator Student Mobility. In addition, KLU is among the 15 German universities that received the top score (A) in more than ten indicators, moving from 10 A’s in 2020 to now having 12 in 2021.

Excellence in supply chain research: KLU among the top 3 universities in Germany

The latest SCM Journal List ranked KLU among the top 3 universities in Germany for Supply Chain Management research. In the ranking of the empirically focused journals, KLU came in 2nd, right after WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management; among the analytically focused journals, KLU came in 3rd, after the University of Cologne and Technical University of Munich.

KLU Among the top tier universities in the CHE Ranking for Master's degree programs

In the 2020 ranking for master’s degree programs, released by the Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (CHE), Kühne Logistics University once again took home top honors among German universities. Students especially valued the general studying conditions and the connections to the latest research, and the support offered by our instructors. The ranking assessed the following programs: Business Administration, Economics, Business Studies, Engineering Management and Business Informatics.

In a ranking released by the independent university assessment portal “StudyCheck”, Kühne Logistics University (KLU) took home 1st place in the category “Favorite University in Germany”. In the feedback submitted by students, KLU was given 4.7 out of 5 stars.

Business School Ranking: 5 Stars for KLU Executive Education

Kühne Logistics University’s (KLU) further education program has been nominated as one of the best business schools in Germany based on a current ranking recently conducted by stern, a German magazine. KLU’s Executive Education programs were awarded a total of five out of five stars. Only two other universities joined the KLU with top accolades: the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and the ESCP Business School.

Kühne Logistics University has won this year´s "Global Student Satisfaction Award" in the category “Best Quality of Student Life”. The Global Student Satisfaction Awards 2019 are based on university reviews written by Studyportal's community and partner study associations.

Wirtschaftswoche Ranking 2019

The newest ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche identifies the strongest research universities in the field of Business Administration in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Out of 200 competing universities, KLU scores No. 2 among all private universities and reaches the top 20 (No. 19) in the overall ranking. In terms of research-output per professor, KLU faculty is ranked No. 1 of all private universities and No. 7 in the overall ranking.

Gold for KLU – FIBAA Premium Seal for New BSc Program

Another great achievement for KLU: FIBAA has awarded the university’s new BSc in Business Administration program its Premium Seal. This is a distinction that only seven per cent of universities in the accreditation process achieve. Fink and the assessors were especially impressed with the strong emphasis put on maintaining an international focus and the combination of theory and practice in the program.

CHE University Ranking 2017

KLU students have given their university high ratings in the latest CHE University Ranking. In each of the relevant main criteria (degree program and teaching, international orientation, job market, career relevance, and equipment), KLU consistently appears in the top group. In other words, KLU shows up with lots of green dots in the CHE Ranking.

University Award 2017

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's University Award (Hochschulpreis Güterverkehr und Logistik) for freight transport and logistics recognizes outstanding university logistic programs. Alexander Dobrindt, Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, presented the high-profile award for 2017 as part of the 7th National Conference on Freight Transport and Logistics in Munich to the KLU.
