A lot of new faces are coming along this year to KLU! Our community is growing in all possible ways: more students, more administrative staff, new professors, and even new babies joining the KLU family. Our esteemed Sophia Rauber welcomed her baby Jakob on March 17th and we couldn’t wait to share this news with you!
The tail of the pandemic is longer than expected, and KLU classes are still being held fully online at this point in time. However, with the continuous process of vaccination, we are optimistic and hope to be able to welcome the new cohort in September on our campus. KLU keeps tackling the Covid challenge with strict norms for hygiene and health, and despite the physical restrictions we have been able to successfully continue online with the classes, our events and our recruitment activities. The Virtual Day of Logistics Innovators attracted over 1000 participants from all over the world to listen to 10 selected companies in the industry from Europe, America, Asia and Africa explain how they grew adapting to the changes of the pandemic times. In the same line, our Online Open Day, hosted on February 20, gathered dozens of students across the globe who could get to know more about KLU, receive a mini-lecture by our faculty, and meet the current students and all the service areas of KLU to solve their questions.
We want to make you aware of offering this great opportunity to have a good grasp on KLU to your prospective candidates, by inviting them to the next Online Open Day, which will take place on April 10. Registration is already open on our website! Important to note very well that date in your calendar, but also we want to remind you:
- Recommended deadline for international applicants is March 31! Just around the corner!
- Final deadline for international applicants is May 31.
Finally, we want to officially greet our last incorporations to the KLU trusted agents since this intake: A-Level Education Group, KALBA, Blue Studies International, Gut Haode Consulting, SIMPLEX, The Academic Advisor, Bilimevi Study Abroad Consultancy and the American-Georgian Education Center (LEAF). Our next Online Open Day is just around the corner! We invite you and your students to take part in this virtual event to get to know everything there is to know about KLU and to meet the community (staff, students, faculty). Students who submit their BSc application until March 31 will even be able to do their admission interview on that day! More info can be found here.

New professor at KLU: Marcos Ritel
One of the most important success factors of KLU is its renowned and international faculty! Therefore, we are very happy that Marcos Ritel joined us from Brazil as an Assistant Professor for International Trade in September 2020. KLU thus adds a new field to its portfolio in research and teaching. Read more about his person and his research here.
