Greeting by Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker

Last but not least COVID-19 has shown us what is important today when it comes to good leadership: people who are courageous, who are prepared to make quick and unconventional decisions, who can (and want to) give orientation, who think outside the box. In short: leaders who not only know how to use their business management tools but are also trained to deal with complex situations. In other words: who have learned to think! This is exactly what KLU stands for: excellent teaching, interdisciplinary thinking, a close connection between research and teaching, and research that focuses on practical relevance. And for an aspect that will make the decisive difference when it comes to COVID: excellent logistics with resilient supply chains. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary—and all the best for the next 10 years!
