Making Logistics Come to Life

Exhibition in the foyer

Science Night at KLU was a big success

Why would you spend your Saturday night at university? Because it’s fun! On November 4th, KLU participated once again in the Hamburg Night of Science. From 5 pm until midnight, we opened our doors for visitors, young and old, interested in logistics.

Games and info points on humanitarian logistics, route optimization, supply chains and warehouse management provided playful challenges while at the same time highlighting some of KLU’s fields of research and teaching.

In lectures by professors and library staff, visitors learned about autonomous driving, financial investment, food supply chains and the unmasking of fake news. The forklift course was especially popular with the younger audiences while those a little older tested their knowledge in the logistics version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

More than 650 visitors came to the campus to get a hands-on impression of KLU life, making Science Night at KLU a big success.
