The mission of Production and Operations Management (POM), by its own account, is to serve as the flagship research journal in operations management in manufacturing and services.
POMS (Production and Operations Management Society) has added 14 new members to the POMS Journal's Editorial Review Board (ERB) and Prof. Maria Besiou, Associate Professor of Humanitarian Logistics was among them. The journal is considered top tier A-journal, listed on the Business Week's list of 20 premier journals and among FT Research's 45 Premier Journals.
Prof. Besiou was nominated for having this role in the Disaster Management Department because of her very strong expertise in the field of humanitarian logistics. This is further evidence of the outstanding scientific quality of KLU's faculty.
