Student Exchange Fair at KLU in Hamburg

Guests of the Student Exchange Fair on KLU campus

An impressive 1,800 people found their way to KLU on November 15 to visit the first Student Exchange Fair on the KLU campus.

For many young people today, spending time abroad is the first step to being independent. It provides high school students with the opportunity to acquire international and inter-cultural experience and learn the language of the new country.

In personal talks at the recent Student Exchange Fair, students and their teachers became familiar with a series of providers and were able to compare their offers. Companies presented classical (high school) student exchange packages and other topics (boarding school, private school, vacation and summer camps, internships and language courses at the fair. Information on periods of voluntary service, au pair jobs, and work-and-travel was also available. The visitors also found out about funding and scholarship opportunities – including a scholarship from KLU itself – and received tips from recognized experts on preparing for student exchanges.
