The Career Development office’s mission is to educate, facilitate connections, and empower you to identify and pursue your professional aspirations.
(What’s the one thing about KLU that a new student can really look forward to? Anne from our Career Services team will answer this question and more. Watch her video.)
The Career & Professional Development Program consists of eleven workshop modules. It is designed to help you find answers to vital questions that will position you to actively pursue and manage your professional career goals: What am I good at, and what are my professional aspirations? What position/occupation do I want to target? How can I position myself as a successful applicant, and differentiate myself from others? What does it take to prepare winning application documents? How can I access the “hidden” labor market? The workshop topics are: Personality Assessment, Skills & Interests Assessment, Options Identification, Options Assessment, Employer Research, CV Training, Cover Letter Training, Internship Program Information, Interview Training, Business Etiquette, and Networking.
The Career & Professional Development Program is an integral part of the internship program and compulsory for all KLU students.
The Internship Program allows you to put your theoretical knowledge to the test, deepen your know-how, and explore positions/occupations of interest to you. Career Services will assist you in your orientation and application phase, and offer opportunities to network with potential employers.

Thus, although young, KLU’s CDO can put you in contact with a solid, and professionally well integrated alumni group.
Furthermore, KLU is offering networking opportunities via our on-campus company presentations, and our year-round excursions. KLU invited speakers from the corporate world to offer networking opportunities, and to introduce the student community as potential interns and employees to business and industry, e.g. company presentations and workshops by McKinsey, DB Schenker, Deutz AG, Beiersdorf AG, etc. KLU students also enjoyed a glimpse of ‘real life’ during their all-year round excursions to Airbus S.A.S., DHL, Hannover Airport Cargo Services, BMW AG, and Still AG.
